EXPERIENCE 

2001 – Present.  Freelance Artist and Translator, and Cultural Guide for various international/local,    

public/private institutions and organisations 

1999 – Present    Have been conducting interviews with African Heritaged Cypriots in London and Cyprus for on going research into African Cypriot Heritage. 

Feb-March 2013     Conducted interviews with African Heritage Cypriots in London, England for Afro Cypriot oral history project to be included in my RMA thesis in University of Amsterdam (UvA), Netherlands 

April 2003     Trained as a Local Tourist Guide for Turkish Republic of Cyprus (TRNC) Ministry of Tourism, Nicosia, Cyprus 

September 2000   Moved to Cyprus 

Maintained links with the co-counselling community through writing to journals, phone, email and attending international workshops and conferences.  

Continued work as an artist, working on Black Cypriots Project, an art documentary installation on history, life experience and awareness of African Cypriot Heritage emphasis on peoples’ own knowledge and concept of themselves. Collected old photographs, took new ones. Arranged and conducted audio interviews. Complied all information prepared for a work in progress exhibition. I undertook translation work.
